This talk examines arts-based global health interventions in Ghana, highlighting the difference between instrumental approaches and community-led, transformational participation. Drawing on Frantz Fanon, it explores how colonial legacies continue to shape global health and calls for transformational, community-driven approaches that acknowledge and transcend these inherited power relations.

This session will feature a screening of short videos on climate change in Ghana, created by Ghanaian youth and community advocates showcasing local perspectives, community experiences, and innovative responses to environmental challenges. The screening will be followed by a discussion session to explore actionable solutions and Opportunities for interdisciplinary and community-engaged scholarship
